Anything goes

Good evening, just thought I would share a couple of cards I have made for the card swap group I am in.  This month the theme is Anything Goes so a lovely Heartfelt Creations Peacock and a Christmas card using the same technique I picked up at a workshop run by the very talented Barbara Daines, hope you like them.

Mirror, mirror on the wall!

I have had a fantastic day at a workshop run by Barbara Daines at Langley Burrell, near Chippenham in Wiltshire where we made these lovely mirrors.  Had great fun making mine, it could have done with being a bit more colourful, but I am still quite happy with it, hope you like it too.

Happy Easter 2!

Two cards blogged in one day!!

For this card I started off inking through this lovely Daisy Mask with Ripe Persimmon and Mustard Seed Distress Ink by Ranger.  I then covered the whole area with a double sided adhesive sheet and then poured micro beads over it.  For the centre I stamped my sentiment onto the smallest die from the Ornate pierced squares and inked while still in the die.  I mounted this onto the next die up from the same set which I cut from Foundation Gloss card.  I used the outer edge of the same set to make a frame, also using the second largest die from the Spellbinder Grand Decorative Labels One for the border of the frame.  I finished off with a large white bow, yellow organza rose and two pearl stick pins.

I would like to enter this card for the Creative Expressions Blog Challenge Easter

Happy Easter!

Hello everyone, sorry I have not blogged for a while but time goes by so quickly these days, I don't seem to have time!  I have just been over to France for a few days to meet my newest Granddaughter Tess who was born on the 12th February, needless to say I think she is gorgeous, just like my other 7 Grandchildren!!

Back to the card, I have used the beautiful Floral Brocade embossing folder by Sue Wilson for the background.  I cut the bottom at an angle using the Orion Die, also by Sue Wilson!  I think there is a lot of Sue Wilson on this card! Lol. For the centre piece I used St Lucia from the Caribbean Island collection (by Sue Wilson) the flowers are from the Finishing Touches, Cornflower and the small green bits are the Delicate Fronds (I love these)!   The sentiment is from JustRite Stitched Flowers Vintage Tags.

I would like to enter this in the Creative Expressions First Challenge - Easter

More box cards!

Hello again, I don't seem to get a lot of time to craft these days since Bazzil my Cockatiel arrived!  He likes to be out of his cage a lot so you can only imagine the mess there would be if I took him in my craft room!!  I am sure he would love it though!!

For one of the card swap groups I am in, we have to make a box card this month.  I have been a bit worried about doing one as they looked complicated but must say I enjoyed making the first one so here are another two!

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog.  Love Jean xxx

My latest makes!

Hello again!  Just thought I would share a few of my latest makes with you.  I just don't seem to have much inspiration these days but really enjoyed making the gift bags and the box card.  I am usually not very good at following instructions, but the video for the bags was really good and so easy to make, I think I could be making quite a few for Christmas for my grandsons school Christmas Fete!  Filled with sweets I am sure they would sell well!

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog, would love to hear your comments, good or bad! xxx

Peacock!

Hi there, it is far too long since I last posted anything on here, I really must do better!!
Here are a few of my latest makes.
This one is for my friend Barbara.  She came down for the weekend and heard the local Peacocks making their noise during the night, so thought she would like a reminder!!  The background I made using my Gelli Plate, just love playing around with paints and stencils to see what I end up with!

Here is another one using a Gelli Plate background!

For the men!

I have been busy doing a few cards for the Men this week!  Can never get the same inspiration as I can when doing a card for a female but did manage to get on a role once I started, hope you like them!

Just because!

Hello again.  Yesterday I received 3 new stamps from the Sue Wilson range which match the new dies she has recently launched.  I couldn't wait to have a play with them so here they are!

Happy Birthday!

I don't seem to be able to stop playing with these Dies, here is another card made today, this is from the Spanish collection by Sue Wilson - Seville and the bow is from the Finishing Touches collection.  Papers are by Teresa Collins.

Green!

Well I seem to be on a roll with my blog this week!

Today I have made a card for the February card challenge for the card swap group I belong to.
We usually just make a card to a particular theme set by Heather but this month for a change we are not swapping cards, just posting a photo and whoever Heather picks will win a lovely green pearl braclet which she has made.  The group is on Facebook and is a closed group called Crafty Card Swap, we are more than happy to have more members so would love to see you there!

Bonjour!

Hello again!  Today I decided to do something outside my comfort zone, an altered frame!  I am not great at distressing, it never turns out how I would like it to but one of these days I may get it right!  This was just a cheap wooden frame from The Pound Shop so wasn't too worried if I messed it up.  I covered it with some Graphic 45 paper from their French Connection collection and inked the edges.  I used my Melt Pot and Martha Stewart moulds to make the flower and butterfly.  I think it needs something else on it but not sure, what do you think?

Thinking of You!

Hi there, today I was inspired by Sue Wilson's blog card so thought I would try my version of it, hope you like it!  i decided to use gilding flakes instead of just stamping it.

Good Friends!

Good afternoon everyone,  I had a bit of a rummage through my craft stash and came across these card blanks which I must have had for about 5 years so thought I would make a quick card using one of them along with the new Seville Die from Sue Wilson's new collection.  The card blanks are just the right size for this Die!
