Good afternoon everyone!  Can't believe it is February already, where has the time gone to???  My oldest son's wife gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on 26th January, she wasn't due until 19th March so has taken us all by surprise being over 7 weeks early and weighing in at 4lbs 1oz.  She is doing well but will not be home for around another week or so.

As I haven't posted anything for a while, I have a few things to show you today.

These are my very first attempt at doing an ATC for the craft swap group I belong to (Crafty Card Swap on Facebook) if anyone would like to join us you would be made more than welcome!!!

Hearts & Flowers
The hearts I made using my new Melting Pot, great fun!

The next 3 cards are also for my card swap group, this month the Theme is Black, Red & White.
Naughty but nice!

This card I have made for a friends Aunt who will be 92 in March!  This one is for my son's partner, she is French so hope she likes the French Theme!

This one I made from the new Kanban kit and it is for my friends, friend who is 60 next month.

Thank you for taking the time to view my blog, please feel free to leave a comment. xxx

Another Time to Reflect!

Here is another card that I would like to enter into the 'A Time to Reflect' challenge at Visible Imagehttp://visibleimage.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/time-to-reflect-visible-image-january.html

Delightful Daisys

I was so excited to receive my new M-Bossibilitie folder from Spellbinders yesterday, I made these 3 cards using just the folder.  The embossing is so good you hardly need anything else to make a nice card.
The first card I embossed on white card stock then just lightly inked over the embossing with some distress inks.
The blue card has just been embossed using co-ordination card and then sanded.
The pink card has been embossed on vellum.
Hope you all love this embossing folder as much as I do!

A Time to Reflect!

A Time to Reflect!

For this card I have used the lovely Edgar stamp from Visible Image, I stamped him with a distress ink but didn't colour him in as I wanted him to look a bit 'vintage'.  I have had these chipboard pocket watches for ages so thought it was a good time to use them.  I double embossed the watch face to give a glass/vintage look to it.  My background papers are from Kanban and the gold embossed watches are an embossing folder by Sizzix.

This is my Midway Inspiration card for the challenge 'Button Up' over at DCC & Friends.
I started with a white 8x8 scalloped edged card which I inked and coloured with my Distress Inks.  Background is from  First Edition Summer Breeze and my trusty Spellbinder Dies for the sewing machine, dummy, thimble, cotton reel and 'material'.  The buttons and scissors and metal sewing machine are from my 'stash'.  If you have not already entered our challenge you still have time to do so.  http://www.dccfriendschallenges.net/
