This is the same stamp that I used for my previous card, and a completely different look!
This month we are sponsored by Visible Image Stamps with a fantastic prize of £35 worth of their gorgeous stamps!

Time for another Challenge over at DCC & Friends http://www.dccfriendschallenges.net/and this months Challenge is Christmas and our sponsors this month are Visible Image.  Look at the wonderful prize on offer from them, £35 worth of lovely stamps.

For my design card I have used one of the lovely new stamps from Visible Image, Merry Christmas.  I stamped onto black card with Flitterglu and then covered the image with a mixture of gold leaf.  I then mounted this onto gold and black card.  I found some lovely gold and black gift wrap ribbon which I thought would go nicely with the gold leaf and wrapped this round the card with a nice bow at the side.

I would like to enter this card in thefollowing challenges:

This is my design for the 3rd challenge at DCC & Friends Challenge -Character Crazy! http://www.dccfriendschallenges.net/ The image is a digital download from PapercraftJunky. I coloured  the image with promarkers and glitter glued the shoes and skirt.  My trusty Spellbinders were used for the  'stage' and the flowers and butterflies!  Do hope you will join us in our next challenge from 16th September!

Monday 10 September 2012

Hi everyone, sorry I have not blogged for a while, I really lost all inspiration these past few weeks but hopefully I am getting it back!!!   Yesterday I made these 2 Fairy cards for the card swap group at Dawn's Card Swap group on Facebook.  The first one on the left, I inked the background then placed a mask over it and spritzed it with water and got quite a nice effect.  The mat is a piece of Bo-Bunny card which I covered with an adhesive sheet then dipped in the glass micro beads which looks better in real life!  I stamped my image on one of my new Spellbinder Dies and coloured with Promarkers.  The other card was a really quick one using the new Spellbinder Basic Lattice die which I think is lovely.  I mounted this over some embossed white card and attached a Hunkydory Topper and some lace along the bottom.

My friend asked me to make her a couple of 'Dog' cards, the first one is for her work colleague who has a Westie, so hope she likes it and the second one is for her dog Alfie to give to her husband.  This is a photo of Alfie when he was a puppy that I used and I made the card using Craft Artist Professional, a completely flat card!  Hope you enjoy this blog and thank you for taking the time to look.

Anything Goes

I have some exciting news for all you crafter's out there!

I'm so pleased to announce the very first challenge for Dawn's Card Swap group.  It's a friendly Facebook based group, but we also have our own website Dawn's Crafty Cards.  Please ask to join the group on our Facebook page if you would like to join in with our challenge.

The theme for this challenge is "Anything Goes" and it runs until midday on 14th August.  We are lucky to have a great prize for this challenge kindly sponsored by That Craft Place of a lovely crafty goody bag of stash for the winner.

There is also a Treasure Hunt to join in with where you will have to collect a series of letters to be in with a chance of winning a crafty prize.  All the rules for the Treasure Hunt are on our website.

This is my first card as a Design Team member for Dawn's Crafty Cards & Friends.  As the theme was 'Anything Goes' thought I would make use of this lovely stamp which was given to me by Dawn.  The stamp decided that the rest of the card needed to be black and white so I embossed the background and cut 2 borders with the Persian Spellbinder dies and mounted this onto some black card.  I cut a butterfly from the Heartfelt Creation dies and added a nice big black bow with a Dazzler in the middle and 2 black stick pins.  I then mounted it all on to a white 8x8 card.

This is a card I have made for my nephew and his fiancee for their wedding on 28th July this year.  When you slip the band off, there is a little box inside where I have put some gift vouchers for them.  I think this kind of card is ideal for small gifts and vouchers.  Creative Expressions have a worksheet on their website showing how to make this card.

This is my friend's dog Alfie, I designed this card using Craft Artist Professional, a completely flat card, just what will be needed with the cost of postage this year!!!
First Christmas card made this year!  Of course I had to use my lovely Spellbinders for it!http://www.papercraftjunkies.com/

Saturday 23 June 2012

These are the cards I have made this week!  This card is used with the new Sue Wilson Spellbinder Lacey Dies and the new Dazzler's.  I emailed in to Create and Craft and sent them a photo of this card so it has been on the TV!!!!  It was lucky enough to be picked out of the 'spotty potty' to win me one of Julia Watts' lovely cards!

I have had a go at some stamping this week too as you will see below.  I am trying hard to learn how to colour in, sometimes it works, othertimes it looks like a 2 year old has done it but as they say 'practice makes perfect'.

I would appreciate your comments, good or bad I don't mind!  Love Jean x

Monday 18 June 2012

I made this card from some of the free papers in the July issue of Making Cards.  The main background I distressed with Victorian Velvet distress ink, the next layer I covered with adhesive film and then covered with micro beads.  I did the same with the round topper.  I cut the flowers using the Spellbinder Rose Creation dies and covered these with the micro beads too.  To finish the card off I used a Spellbinder Flourish and a bow with a couple of pearl hat pins.

'Shades of Blue' - I would like to enter this card in the 'That Craft Place' monochrome challenge.

Tuesday 22 May 2012

The lovely Dawn Heald bought me this stamp for my birthday.  I stamped onto watercolour card and painted the coloured one with watercolour paints, first time I have used paints so not too good!  I then double embossed to give a glazed look and it did improve the appearance too!!  The other card was stamped onto watercolour card too but distressed this time with Walnut Stain and Scattered straw.

Sunday 20 May 2012

Stamping is not my strong point but have been having a go with the above cards and must say I am pleased with the results.  Must keep trying though!

Saturday 5 May 2012

I received my new Spellbinder dies on Thursday and here are my first cards using them.  I just love the M-bossibilitie folders and all the dies!
